The wife has tested positive so I have to cook Christmas dinner for the first time ever!

Hope she’s ok, ECB. I know she’s a big C recoverer. Fingers crossed.

We’ve both recently recovered from it and we heard this morning that our 11 year old grandson is positive so no family Christmas for the second year running. On top of our dog dying a week ago it’s been a lousy week.

❤️

Crikey Joe, that's tough mate. Video calls to the family are the closest that you can do, not much but better than nowt. Take care buddy.

Wow, not good J_B, yes, it does sound like a lousy week.

My best wishes to all posters and their families unlucky to be affected by Covid, I hope everyone recovers soon with no ill effects.
This time of year is family focused and not being together is frustrating and upsetting, but at the end of the day, we need to keep everyone safe so that we’ll be able to meet later in the year. As previously mentioned, WhatsApp and FaceTime are incredibly helpful in staying in touch and of course Planet Swans posters are always around if you need a chat to cheer up.
In the words of Strictly “ Keeeep Posting”. 🦢

Don't forget the vodka margarine!

hope she is ok and gets better soon!

With best wishes for everyone who has a positive test this Christmas - tough time to get it but stay as safe as you can

And deepest sympathy to J_B

Good post Dicky, I think the majority of people are feeling the same way.. It's like death is just around the corner.

I think my New Years resolution will be to avoid any news stories, and social media. I woke up the other day, walked down the stairs and the missis had the tv on out the kitchen, and it was boom omicron and other such stuff. Before I saw that, I was happy, not a care in the world.
