Probably more the case rather than trying to belittle others and play the morale high ground.
Its the old saying regards fickle fans, always has been and will be the case and no one is immune to it for me.
People will make calls and give their opinions. Fans will get things right and wrong.

NIce post Jackathome, a very decent one indeed 👍
A large proportion of posters called Vipotnik all sorts last season. That's a fact, it's not belittling anyone.

There is a line between being constructive with opinions on players and performances and then we have people who have unrealistic expectations and those who just like to whinge for the sake of it.

Who are those posters? If it was large then it shouldn't be hard to make them.

As I thought!

I have no doubt that some posters said it but it's the usual over cooking it to try attempt to put people down and chucking mud at certain people.
It's a very underhanded way of bullying people.
If things don't go according to plan against Leicester this board will be rife with the usual suspects slating the latest scapegoats. It was Vipotnik last season, you can take your pick from Idah, Eom to Walta this season.

That's not me bullying anyone like you seem desperate to imply, that is just stating a fact.

That's my final word on this subject, I'm off to file my teeth.

My post was in regards a deflection of a decent conversation to have a pop at people by your mate!
You then decided to back him up.

It's bullying and trying to have cheap shots at others. It's bullying.

Calling posters names is bulling.

People having a different opinion to yours isn't.

You seem a little sensitive this week, PM is open if you want a chat (That's a genuine offer).

Are you seriously suggesting that there weren't quite a lot of people queueing up to take a pop at Vipotnik last season?

There were times last season when Vipotnik cut a peripheral figure. There were times when he looked a yard off the pace. There were times when he didn’t even appear to be putting in a shift.

That may have been due to numerous things. He may have been fed up of a lack of service. He may have been disillusioned with the manager’s tactics that led to little or no service. He may not have been fully up to speed with one of the most physically demanding leagues in world football.

Supporters have every right to call what they see in front of them every week and if that means criticism of players, managers, referees then so be it.

It’s not about being wrong or right long term. It’s just football fans calling what they see in front of them at any given time.

But they should at least consider the things that you quite rightly mentioned in your first paragraph. We've seen it happen plenty of times over the years. A lot of people love to slag players off without any kind of consideration to mitigating factors.

Vipi was a young lad who had basically just been made redundant, moving to one of the toughest leagues in football under a coach who didn't have the first idea what to do with him. Is it all that surprising that it took him some time to find his feet?

Despite that there was clearly potential there. More potential than basically anyone expected, maybe even those who thought well of him last season, but it was there if you were willing to look.

As I said, I have no doubt there were some on here but I don't believe it was most.
If you are suggesting there were a lot on here, I would be intrigued to see what posters they were, if you could name them?

And most of our fans were.
I'm willing to admit I was one of these, I could see a player but didn't think he would ever be able to flourish under the way we played so I was of the opinion to get shot. And in short, this is why I'm not working in football haha.
