Just to put it in perspective, no player managed 20 Championship goals last season. Only two even got close, and they played for teams that eventually got promoted.

Vipi's achievement in doing so for a team that's not really hit any kind of consistent form, and with only three penalties in that total is really something.

For that reason, my answer to Swans Jack's question above would be Galbraith if I had to sell one of them this summer. I would obviously prefer to keep both if we can afford it, but I think your post shows it's harder to find a 20 goal a season striker than it is to find a quality midfielder. Given the lack of goals from elsewhere in the team, Vipotnik becomes even more important.

Vipotnik is not the most mobile, he likes to play the ball first time or very quickly when the ball is played into him rather than holding the ball up.
He's a very rare type of striker but you can't not ignore the shot he has on him.

I think that one thing us fans have learned as we are buying a number in the last few seasons, young foreign players need time to adjust and adapt to their new surroundings and league.
Maybe OTJ was right on Radio Wales when he said we may need to look at a few more British players this summer to create a better balance for next season.

We certainly need to bring in more " championship ready" players. We can't afford to give all our players 2 seasons to find out if they are any good . What decision are the club likely to make on Eom, looks a player, but his stats this season, for an attacking winger , are appalling. I wouldn't have minded playing him, like Dr Winston has suggested, behind Vipotnik, but the club look reluctant to try him there.

The nature of football has changed over the last few years so it's harder for strikers to be as prolific as they were in seasons past. Defences sit deeper, teams don't attack with the same kind of freedom that they used to.

You could probably make a case that Vipi's ability outside the box might actually make him more valuable and likely to kick on given that. You can set your defence, sit deep, play the low block, whatever you want to call it, but it won't help you when he's in the mood for a Thunderbastard.

If I had to choose one or the other, I would probably go Galbraith.

Goal scorers are worth their weight in gold at any level.

Yeah I agree. With Leo as well and having been luckury with midfield. I Would sell Galbraith. 10m Minimal.

It would be great to keep hold of Galbraith and Vipotnik and also add some more quality to the squad for a proper crack at the Premier League next season. But that's down to the owners; after all, we weren't a million miles away this time out.

As much as I like Vip, if it was a choice between him and Galbraith I’d have to keep EG.
We have Idah as an ideal replacement. Galbraith is the only midfielder we have who’s positive on the ball. I felt he was controlling some games from the right back position.
