• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I wouldn’t mind being so rubbish that I won over eleven and a half million dollars.

He was rubbish compared to Grand Slam winners but better than 99.99% of people who ever picked up a tennis racket.

Henman def wasn't rubbish FFS. Up against Sampras and co he did well to get to so many semis.
Be interested to read if you thought Jimmy White was rubbish for 'bottling ' 7 finals?

Tim Henman was rubbish, hyped up and won zilch, nada, nothing.. the most overrated tennis player by some distance

Workmate of mine years back used to work as a steward at Wimbledon during the fortnight while he was a student. One session he was asked to stand at the door of the clubhouse and ensure no-one parked a car in the approach.

Up comes a flash motor, parks where he shouldn't, bloke gets out and strides into the clubhouse. Mate says politely "Excuse me Mr Henman, I'm afraid you can't park there" to which he replies, and I kid you not, "Do you know who I am?" to which my mate responds "Well, yes Mr Henman, because I just used your name".

Always thought Henman was a kn*b

Norrie 1 up, he's got a bit of Welsh in him, does anyone know where his mother is from?

A better answer would have been

Your Mate: 'yes I do. Do you know who I am?'
Henman: 'No'
Your Mate: 'I'm the bloke in charge of the care park, now move it'

Fck my eyes, someone who cant get through the first couple of rounds is rubbish. As is someone who cant pick a fckn winner ;)

I don't know where Tim van Rijthoven has been for the last five years but he's playing really well on the grass. Expecting him to give Novak a decent challenge in the fourth round.

Also saying Norrie's better than Henman is a bit harsh, Henman was world number 4 and made plenty of slam semis.

You’re right, it was more meant in praise of Norrie than to denigrate Henman, who’s was a far better player than he ever got credit for. Masters Champion and you said, numerous Slam semis. He really should have won Wimbledon in 2001.

That said, I still think Norrie will prove to be a far better player when you compare their respective careers when the time comes.

Playing some good tennis to be fair.👍

That 100/1 available before the tournament is suddenly looking a decent punt.
