You can’t compare and contrast Idah’s finish with Melker’s chance… they were nothing like the same opportunity.Compare and contrast Idah's finish with Widdell's lack thereof. You will immediately see the difference between a goal scorer and a nearly man.
The first time strike took any chance of a block out of the equation - Melker's touch and steadying himself invited the defender to do his job.
For the record I love Melker - and he is going to be a great player for us- but he needs to work on his finishing, as he is becoming the nearly man, and nearly does not hack it.
It would have been a goal of the season contender had he found the back of the net hitting it first time from that position and angle
