I'd prefer he stayed because I hate mid-season disruption and we could end up with someone far worse, he's done an ok job. Don't forget the Gormless Grinner is still taking the football decisions at the moment. Terrifying.

Btw if WBA are genuinely interested they'll get him because in the football food chain whether we like it or not they're a bigger club than us. They'll pay him more than we do, for starters. He'll be off.

Football people are very clinical about these things. They'll go wherever they think they can further their own career and polish their CV.

Totally get that. I'd like to think if I were a manager, I'd keep my mouth shut about how much I loved it there and cut back on constantly blowing smoke up the arse of the fanbase.

There is a decision to make on his part, stick in a relatively stable job knowing changes are coming to the club under the new owners or risk it for a role that yes probably comes with greater rewards, the risks are also considerably higher as well.

Before people reply, it isn't always about money, people are also driven by success and wanting to achieve things during their career.

Why can't it be both?

Why can't a manager genuinely enjoy being at a club at a particular moment in time and really buy into the culture and the environment, but also have one eye on furthering his own career?

I've never believed that the likes of Roberto, Brendan, Potter, Martin etc didn't love the club while they were here - I believe they did, unfortunately for us they just got better offers that they'd all have been insane to turn down.

Coaches don't think about a club like a fan does. Simple as.

You can love the place, of course, no issues with that.

Just stop spouting bollocks that's going to come back and bite you on the arse when you jump ship at the earliest opportunity.

Martinez is a prime example of that. I love this club, forced me out as player, carry me out in a coffin this time and oh by the way I'm off to Wigan.
