The Swans have long since signposted this summer that they need to sell players before they buy and that has led to several clubs watching the position closely with our saleable assets. Flynn Downes we know went early to West Ham but even that was not enough to keep the Swans active in the transfer...

The squad won't see any of that money or very very little so when he's gone the squad will be weaker than it already is.

Also what's the point of him going to another championship side, I thought he wanted premiership football.

To be fair, he's more likely to get it there, plus a lot more moolah. Really though, we are as keen for him to go as he is.

This will end badly for us, given the expectation at the end of the season. The yanks have mismanaged this badly by making our desperation so obvious.

He’ll be gone he knows he’s going, we need wingbacks/fullbacks and we getting rid of our top goal scorer from last season, so we’ll end up with a couple of mediocre players who may be able to put balls in the box, but our best goal scorer will be gone, 🙈

Defo no brainer for him in moving to Watford for the reasons you’ve outlined, he’s more likely to see League 1 football if he stays with the Swans.

Watford sold Dennis and Pedro on the way, Sarr could go too. So they've got the money. And the need.

Don't fold lightly winter.

It will happen so late in the window that we'll be left looking at out of contract players in September.

I don't blame him for going. He'll be around better, more feisty players and they will create chances for him.

They sold Dennis for £20m, who scored double figures in the Premier League last time out and isn't all that much older than Piroe.

We're not seeing half that if they're bidding for him, especially with their setup.

If he goes we may get lucky and sign a a few more MK Dons players or even their Tea lady.
