First ever visit to Bloomfield Road. What’s the best way to get there? One option on Google maps is to go through mid Wales. Are the roads any good? I was thinking 8am start going M5, M6.

I go Jct 43 Neath then A465 to Hirwaun, left for Storey Arms, Brecon Llandrindod, Newtown, Welshpool. Wrexham.

Allow yourself a minimum of 3 and 1/2 hours to get to Wrexham then it's 90 miles of motorway/dual carriageway to Blackpool.

If you want to spend any time in Blackpool or stop for a decent break on route then I would leave around 6.30.
Guaranteed to hit roadworks and delays along the way.
Coaches are leaving at 6.30 I believe ?

M6 is always busy and you will be hitting it mid morning.

Worth checking roadworks
