While I would be incredibly sad to see Darling go if this was true, £12m would be crazy money to turn down and would be enough to overhaul almost all of our trouble positions.

I honestly don’t think we should be signing anyone in this window unless there’s a compelling deal we couldn’t turn down. Give Williams the rest of the season to look at the squad and save our money for a summer rebuild.
