127 players in the men’s draw all competing for the right to lose in straight sets to Novak Djokovic a week Sunday. Women’s competition is far more competitive.

Murray is about to kick off against a fellow Brit, Ryan Peniston

Easy win, looked decent too. Our next round though I think. Retirement tour for him next year then.

Yeah, that Peniston looked like 200+ in the world, Much tougher proposition in the next round.. but he always likes to hang in there in a 5 set thriller mind, so I'm not ruling it out.. fair play to Dan Evans, he's your typical rubbish British player, but he's hanging in there

Just chuck the cat amongst the pigeons here and ask , is Tennis an elitist sport , wealthy people more concerned at being spotted and on the tele or Hello magazine , look at me .

The players are top class athletes of course , my local Comp school tries to promote tennis as a PE lesson in fairness .

There is a Tennis Centre by the Morfa , no idea of fees membership , rules etc , by the now defunct ski slope .

Football was a patch of grass put down some kit bags as goalposts and argue with your mates over the crossbar height .

Another event like FI , Wimbeldon is paparazzi heaven .

Britain’s greatest ever sportsman, Skip in my humble opinion.

I wouldn't go that far, but he's a Great no doubt, it's a shame his adrenaline runs out because he plays for so long in the previous game.. but you've got to be good to win 3 slams against three freaks in their prime

Wow, what a way to finish that set, crocked and produces that.. perhaps that stoppage might help Murray

Totally agree. I fckn love the guy.

Murray rolling back the years, although I thought he was done for when he collaped screaming in pain, but he made a remarkable recovery, perhaps he's been taught by Djokovic

That scream was horrific. Proper pain.

I think the overnight break will work against him, adrenaline is a massive benefit.
