Which bakery and which pastries do you like the most?

A Jenkins pasty or sausage roll for me. I'm also partial to a Claaaaaaarks pie too. Mavis Davis in Swansea market bake good stuff too...although I've not been there in a few years.

Used to love a Saunders pie in Landore...don't think they're there anymore though sadly...

When Sweetmans closed there was a drop in my purchases .
However Swansea market has tremendous bakers.
Never had anything of poor quality there.
Welsh cakes, custard slices, pasties and baps

Sweetmans were great but didn't they just carry on as Jenkins?

No they finished. Jenkins may possibly have taken over the premises.

Ah...I was always under the impression that they took over many of the premises and carried on with the same recipes etc...

That's what I thought , Jenkins carried on the same as sweetmans

A slightly warm minced beef pie from Jenkins is my weak point. I’d go a long way to secure one of those pies.

I do enjoy a nice Portuguese Tart. 😊 There is a guy Antonio, that delivers around Swansea from Pastel de Nata.
