Was speaking to a couple of my friends on the watts app chat, and I was taken aback by a good few not being too fussed about Wales and World Cup qualification. For them, it’s just Swansea, and Swansea only. They’re no loyalists of any way, shape or form. It’s all down ti a few of them having some bother with Cardiff fans at Wales games in the past(early to mid 2000s). It’s not like that anymore now, is it?
I’m going on Saturday against Belgium, first wales game since 2006, so really looking forward to it.

I don’t understand the op myself.
At a time in a few months when there are no Swans games Wales will be playing at the World Cup and any Welsh person that doesn’t want them to win every game they play in is a bit odd in my opinion.

Odd as in odd that some take the piss when the Wales rugby team loses, that kind of odd?

No completely different.

There’s no conflict. I want Wales to win when they’re playing just as much as I want the Swans to win were they’re playing.

But what if Wales were playing the Swans?

I was there. It wasn't great.

If it were a choice between Swansea winning the Premier League or Wales winning the world cup, I'd pick Wales no question.

Opposite for me, Swans first

Me too,I’d love Wales to win the World Cup but the Swans to win the Prem all day long for me especially as we’d be in the CL the following season.

That is so strange. I can't understand the rational behind that.

The world cup is the pinnacle of the sport. For our country to celebrate that should top anything.
