Tate has openly stated in the pub that he would never go there if Cooper took the job onShoe in for Carduff, when Brian Murphy is lured by Madrid.
That’s not such a big compliment when you think about it. But also probably not untrue. Our best manager since the drop
Potter is another process manager, all fur coat and no knickers. Had a purple patch in Sweden then done naff all since.Potter is the best manager we’ve had since relegation for me but Cooper 100% deserves credit for getting us within touching distance of the PL.
Having said that, considering some of the talent we ended up having under Cooper, the football was less than enjoyable.

Potter has had more success in the PL than Cooper and is partly responsible for where they are now. He managed multiple midtable finishes while Cooper struggled with Forest and Leicester.Potter is another process manager, all fur coat and no knickers. Cooper took us to the play offs, twice. Then got Forest promoted. They shouldn’t be mentioned in the same breath.

What success did he have in the prem? He had exactly the same as Cooper has, nothing.Potter has had more success in the PL than Cooper and is partly responsible for where they are now. He managed multiple midtable finishes while Cooper struggled with Forest and Leicester.
If Potter comes back to club football he’ll have success again. He chose two basket cases in Chelsea and West Ham so no surprise it didn’t go well.
Potter deserves more credit in my opinion, it doesn’t get acknowledged how well he did with Brighton.
He achieved multiple midtable finishes and one inside the top ten. Cooper kept Forest up once but couldn’t do any more than that. Potter finished 9th in his last full season and left for Chelsea while they were in fourth. He progressed them as a side at the highest level, something that Cooper wasn’t able to do with Forest. You can’t exactly say they don’t have the resources either, look what Nuno did there. What success did he have in the prem? He had exactly the same as Cooper has, nothing.
Both out of work now aren't they, although I think Potter is Sweden's Head Coach/Manager.He achieved multiple midtable finishes and one inside the top ten. That’s why I’d consider Potter the better manager overall.
Cooper undoubtedly gave us our more successful seasons in the Championship though, he isn’t a poor manager at all.
