Starmer to quit

This is why Rees Mogg refused to say he should resign if fined this morning. Tories realised that they were getting cornered on this issue and couldn’t claim it is a resignation issue when Boris hasn’t.

On principle I hope he does. He is useless.

Clever move. If he’s fined he’d have quit anyway and now he’s backed Johnson into a corner.

You think that if Starmer goes, Bojo the🤡would follow suit. No chance, he's been given multiple chances to do the right thing, and he's still there. Narcissist doesn't even cover it.

Or if he's fined, he may be persuaded for the good of the party and the country to lead them in the next general election.

Cynic? Me?

No I don’t think that for a minute. It’ll just make Johnson look like even more of a cunt than he already does. Not that this will matter to him or the sheep who vote for him.

Easy decision really while trying to maintain something of a positive image

'If I'm going down then im taking Boris with me..'

Of course not, but it's a master stroke by Starmer. If he quits as a matter of principle, it'll make Boris look like an even bigger cnut than he does already. Nobody apart from thick gammons will vote for the fat tosser after that. Bye bye, Spaffer....

If KS does stand down, what do others on here think of Chris Bryant as a possible replacement? I've seen him questioning the likes of Johnson & Dorries in select committee hearings and been quite impressed on occasion but being an MP for a Welsh constituency he doesn't get much coverage here in Somerset and some of you may have a clearer picture of his potential.

I think there may be a number of skeletons in the Bryant closet that may preclude any leadership ambitions.
