Those greedy b@st@rds shouldn't be forgotten.

From taking us from near oblivion to Premier League, European football, some of the best training facilities in the country?

Nope…. They should never be forgotten.

I for one will always be eternally grateful to what the sell outs did for our club.

And when they sold up showing no care/attention/due diligence ....that's exactly the sort of sentiment they were hoping for.

We’re still in a far better position even now than when they took over…

… do we know they actually had any other offers to take over the club at the time?

… they knew the trajectory the club was going when they sold.

I don’t blame them for selling when their stock was high… I think we would have been in the same situation if they had held onto control - they didn’t have the finances to sustain us any longer

However… I do hold the Americans responsible - they had / still have the finances needed…

… but have made terrible decisions time and time again.

Yes - a Chinese consortium had approached the previous ownership too.

I’ve spoken to people in the know and the Chinese consortium was never a real goer - it was never a buy out

What were the terms then?

It doesn’t matter, no point in going over this old ground.

What we can agree on is that both parties have acted in the wrong; the sellouts in the way that they went about the sale and the stitching up of the Trust, and the new owners with some of their diabolical decision making.

I fully agree

These are fantastic posts MM - the only way they could sustain it would be to pump in millions of their own cash - no chance it was ever going to happen ffs

That line.... Is it a fact it just an excuse to cover up pure greed?

I don’t blame them one bit in wanting to make as much money and offloading the club whilst on top… they deserved it in my eyes… would I have preferred to them have sold it to owners who had the clubs best interests at heart… of course… realistically was there anyone around willing to just pump millions and millions in?
