Just got back, not going to comment on the game but I am interested to hear the opinions of those fans that seem happy with the progress they believe we’re making.

Just one question, what is the game plan and what is the vision?

Not interested in the opinions of the best in class brigade or those that bring absolutely nothing to the table….fire away.
Half way to your four point prediction with 5 games to go, let's hope we don't win one of those remaining games.

Really enjoyed that game. Edge of the seat stuff and the atmosphere was brilliant. Parker did well once he settled . His mistake could easily have dented his enthusiasm but he came back stronger and faster. That boy can move. Gutted the screens werent on today so didn't get a good view of their penalty till I got home. 😞

Surely you have some thoughts, good or bad. It's clear Matos is slightly handcuffed. Especially with RB and Wingers. It's clear in my mind he wants to press and cause teams to make errors which we counter on and energy is the forefront of this. Considering he came in to a team with the lowest shots on goal and had nothing to offer to suddenly turning that around has to be applauded. I think it's harsh if we are judging him already. But if people's minds are made up then I can't change them.

I thought Fulton played very well and added stability and confidence to our centre backs. Cabango was excellent and also one of Burgess better games. Parker grew admirably into the game. Not sure what Stamenic brought to the game. Widdell ran around a lot but achieved little. That save from Vigoroux was world class. Not sure why we pass back to Vig when under no pressure only for him to employ his predictable touchfinder. Apart from his 2 pens Vipotnik looked out on his feet. Enjoyable game, something to build on.

I can see why Matos picked the starting 11 he did and we got a point against a superior team, so he got it right. However, the difference in Parker once he had an actual winger ahead of him and wasn't being left two against one constantly because of Cullen's natural instinct to drift infield was stark.

We all know Ronald's limitations at this point, but he'll clearly attract stick from plenty who've made up their minds, even when he plays fine.
Agreed; I feel too many of our fans have made their minds up on Ronald and he can no longer do anything right in their minds.

A few games recently I’ve thought he’d been good. But the same fans just kept bashing him.

I’d argue the plan right now is for Matos to use this current squad to the best of his ability before implementing what he really wants to do in the summer. You can see at times that we want to try and build out from the back but our current CB partnership is not comfortable enough on the ball to execute it, so Matos doesn’t force them to do it. I don’t think we can expect to play possession based football and control a game with the current squad so we aren’t trying to do it. Our main game plan seems to be counterpress and attack from those situations but we also don’t have much pace to really make that work. We’re caught in an awkward spot tactically but Matos is working to his players’ strengths.

Give it a summer and I think we’ll see the vision more clearly. Matos has done his job for this season.
Fair enough

We need to sort out our midfield and wingers as the highest priority next season.

Galbraith is the only top level championship midfielder. The others have been huge let down and wouldn't miss them if they left.

35% possession at home is not good enough, we look like a team full of headless chicken at times today.

To be fair, we were up against a team that are much better than us at the moment even with a few of their players out. Also think the lack of possession was somewhat purposeful today, we went with a low block to try and limit them.

I agree though, we can look like headless chickens at times. We’re good at getting to the ball but we need to work on retaining it. We put in a lot of work but often get little reward.

Really enjoyed the game. Nice to not have to worry about the result.

Their penalty wasn’t a penalty as Eom hardly touched him. I suppose you could say that they deserved a draw though.

Our centre backs were fantastic. As was Fulton. I think those two things are linked.

Parker did really well. Showed great promise for next year.

I think we need to work out over the summer what we are trying to do once we win the ball as just energy levels won’t get us any further than this. Once we’ve worked that out we need to sell and buy accordingly. Definitely lack out wide and creativity in the centre.

Matos ethos is all about fitness Lisa, I think Fulton will be released and maybe Franco (controversial).
Basically I think Matos will come into his own next season with a free hand on signings (Portugal/ Spain) 🙏

For me Fulton got knocked off the ball several times by a younger, fitter Middlesbrough midfielder. Not a criticism of Mr Swansea City. Just my daft question.
Btw I love Jay ❤️

I'm in line with the edge of the 18-yard box at the South Stand end of the stadium, so wrong end for a good view of the penalty decisions. During the game, I thought our first penalty was stonewall, a stupid challenge by the Boro player. I thought I saw contact on Eom's leg for our second and was telling my son how stupid the goalkeeper was to do that, having got him away from the goal already. For their penalty, I thought their player initiated the contact and that it was incredibly soft.

I wondered how much of that was my bias as a Swans fan. Having just watched the highlights, I think I was correct on all three. It says something that we got two penalties yet still ended up being screwed over by the officials.

Whose opinion do you want exactly? because you’ve asked for them but then said you’re not interested. You were worried about relegation a few weeks back, surely you’re delighted now that that’s pretty much impossible?

Agree with your assessment, obviously watched on tv and had the advantage of replays, so no swans bias imo
