But yet we’ve signed 8 players this summer, what an idiot, and backed him with 2.5M on 2 flops from MK Dons.

Perhaps comments like that will wake some of his acolytes up and realise he's not actually the second coming...

He's a very naughty boy.

Good enough for him, he's had plenty thrown in his direction, can't fault him for giving some back.

Same when players get it on the pitch and they turn around and give some back. Love that.

To be fair, I'm sure he's referencing the January window - which was abysmal, and almost everyone here shares the same sentiments as RM on the owners f*ck up during that window.

However, bad form to call out a former club like that, especially for someone so acutely aware at all times of his public image.

What’s he had thrown at him?

They say love is blind, he certainly did a number on some of our fans.

Always had a chip on his shoulder did Russell. Lovely guy until he faced a bit of criticism or pushback, then the claws would come out. He'll wear that January window as a personal insult for a very long time, even though our form suggested sacking rather than backing. Should be grateful the club showed the faith and enormous patience it did.

He's a young man who needs to grow up.
