Wow, thought he'd end up back in Spain with one of the lesser lights of the top tier who aren't likely to win anything - like Girona, Almeria or Cadiz sort of level.
 
Every few years he wins the lottery again.

I agree. Was disappointed as the next man when he jumped ship. But time is a healer, and in the bigger context you’ve got to do appreciate what he did for us. And when he left, we didn’t do too badly afterwards.
 
If Martinez came back as manager we'd have to put extra locks on the trophy cabinet for a start.

Respect is due for being an entertaining manager when we got promoted from League One, but it's hard to imagine a more overrated or dishonest individual ever holding down the hotseat here.
