Kicking off all over Twitter aparantly club are suing him, looks tasty he looks a right twat on there tho

Why is he a twat? Always seemed ok to me

Bit confused I have to say.
Presumably he is claiming that those shirts don't look like Swans shirts of yesteryear?
A lot of them look awful familiar.
Don't know the difference between blatant copies and whatever he is saying these are ?
Will be an interesting court case

I know Rob from the Jackmail FB group and Pete's Tosh page. He has a remarkable collection of authentic match worn jerseys and replicas from the 80's to present. 100's of shirts, some very very rare indeed.

In what way do they not feature the club logo? The club badge is prominent on all of them.

It would appear from reading that Twitter thread that the club's action will be for breach of copyright in that the club allege he has been supplying copies of Swans shirts in breach of their copyright, Rob is presumably claiming that they were not copies but original shirts bought from official sources that he owned and was selling as used/second hand shirts.

In normal cases of breach of copyright the copyright holder would usually have obtained evidence by way of test purchasing shirts from the alleged culprit or had complaints from purchasers that they were not original bone fide shirts. Any online posts on forums, facebook, twitter etc is incredibly easy to find and recover as evidence to show that items were being offered for sale, bank accounts will show payments from Paypal etc(which include a description of the goods).

If convicted of this offence, i would imagine that the club would make an application under the Proceeds of Crime Act which would seek to recover any benefit made from that breach of copyright. Any profit any culprit has has made will be recovered from any assets such as their home, car savings etc.

Breach of copyright is regularly prosecuted by Trading Stndards dept of your local authority.

Excuse my ignorance but what’s he done wrong?

I would assume its breaching legal restrictions by producing football shirts without the permission of who holds the rights to them, just guessing

This doesn't sit right with me at all.

Tell the guy to stop doing it, leave it at that.

Trust need to get involved with this pronto.

One minute he is saying he has done nothing wrong, then saying he made a "mistake" ?
Sorry strikes me as am intelligent guy who knows the difference between right and wrong.
If he is selling used jerseys then fine.
If he has had new jerseys produced or purchased new jerseys from a supplier that look like old Swans jerseys, and no one in the chain has had Swans permission, then that is no different from the people on market stalls being done for selling counterfeit goods.
Either they are all innocent as well or he is guilty the same as them

Can't he make replicas of some of our all time greats? Surely better than some of the current squad!
