I'm not particularly a fan but I wish the fella well, as I'm sure all PS folks do.

Hits home with me especially, as I lost my brother with a similar affliction in 2017.

I kind of guessed something was serious when I kept seeing cancellations recently and a few months ago. I met him once whilst working on a tv ad campaign website which he starred in. Funny off stage as on and loved to crack a joke or two.

He sat at my desk looking at 3 monitors and said "I feel like Jean Michel fucking Jarre" haha

Big fan of his, i especially enjoyed his work experience shows he done. The one he done on care workers was extremely moving. All the best in beating the bastard, Rhod.

This is so sad to hear.
I hope he can beat this bastard.
He lost his mother before the pandemic through dementia, so he's been throught the mill.

Dar, it's been an upsetting year regarding cancer deaths, and how quick death has occurred from diagnosis.
Sorry to hear about your friend.

That's just tragic....his family must be just shattered...

Carpe Diem to all of us...

...and best of luck to Rhod in his full recovery...

I had sad news today as well, my nieces mother in law passed away. She felt ill last Friday and collapsed. She had been unconscious since and passed away this morning. Brain bleed. Awful.

Ebo sorry to hear that.
Unfortunately things like this have been very frequent this year.

Indeed. A friend of mine was killed in a car accident on Tuesday. He wasn't a real close mate but about 15 years ago he went into business with a friend I've known for 34 years, longer than I've known my wife in fact, and I popped in to see him whenever I was in the Reading area and got to know his business partner well. He had an ST at Reading and once smuggled me and my mate into the Madejski Hotel when the Swans were playing so we could have the joys of a pre-match pint @ £6 and that was about 10 years ago, must be a tenner by now. My mate was in the car with him and is still in hospital in a pretty bad way but not life-threatening fortunately. Only found out about this about 8 hours ago and still a bit shocked tbh.

Back on the original thread, sad to hear about Rhod G. I loved his Award Winning Mince Pie show. My sister died of a brain tumour in July of last year about 8 weeks after being admitted to hospital.
