I don't think it was ever in doubt that Trump would be acquitted, getting a 2/3rds majority in a highly polarised Senate would be very difficult. I suspect a lot of Republican Senators believed he’s guilty, but won’t support a Democratic initiative as it may damage their standing and future prospects.
Biden has been arms length on this, but it wouldn’t surprise me now to see lots of criminal probes in to Trumps business activities and personal conduct and lots of information appearing in the public domain discrediting him.
