Oh do not get me wrong I agree. It would be like sticking Galbraith out wide and wondering why it is not working. My point was that an International cameo in itself does not mean he is a guaranteed star at this level.

People are picking on my choice of words which were “a Swedish international”.

Let’s rephrase it to “our Swedish international, who had growing repertoire of classy performances in an advanced role, and who we were desperate to sign”. He’s gone from bright light to duffer stuffed out on the wing, and then hooked at half time in favour of Cullen who took his favoured spot.

He played on the right hand side behind Vipotnik and ahead of Galbraith and Franco.

He played as an attacking midfielder.

You can certainly see that Sheehan is now desperate but it's been his own fault......this has been a few months in the making.

Playing once for 2 minutes and not being picked again does not make you an international on anything other than a technicality.

If there's one thing I will unequivocally criticise Sheehan on it's an inability to settle on a preferred starting XI

And, honest thoughts on this: what do you think has happened since sheehans spell last season? The football/tactics is far different and far worse, with much better players.

In all seriousness, I think Widell may well be a nice player.

We recruited a few nice players.

Unfortunately at the moment nice is all they are. We need someone who’s a game changer and some experience as well.
