Did anyone on here venture out to the away game?

I am back in Ploiesti after an absence of a few years. Staying in the usual hotel which has a nice view of the sun coming up over the ground where we played back in 2013. I don’t remember too much about that game other than Leon getting sent off.

Yes, me and Mrs MJ went. Stayed in Bucharest and had a brilliant night out there one night with some of the few other Swans fans who went (think I counted about 60-70 of us in the away corner pen). I remember the home fans didn’t stop singing from half an hour before game, right through to the end. One of the best atmospheres at a game I ever remember tbf! And then on the way home the Whizair flight got delayed with us all on board the plane waiting on the runway and they tried to cook us alive inside the now sealed plane in sweltering conditions. Great trip

I went. One hell of an experience. Ate and drank like Kings all day in the Doroftei bar pre game for about £20 total.

I have been in that bar often enough for Leonard Doroftei to address me by first name. He was never shy of the opportunity to talk to westerners about his exploits at the Olympics. Sadly it seems to have closed down now, or at least it’s closed this week, surely a result of the last two years. You’re right about Rory, I’ve read back through the BBC match report and they rated him as a 5/10.
