332 would be an acceptable first innings total in a Test match, to get to that after the first two sessions on day one, for the loss of just three wickets is quite incredible, even in this day and age

I don’t know why we’re referencing the apparently benign nature of the pitch. You could be playing on a literal featherbed with a tennis ball and 500 in 75 overs anywhere is incredible. It was an assault.
