It seems that the number of passes we make is more important than the number of goals we score. After we went one down there was absolutely no urgency to get one back, they'd sooner play it around slowly in their own penalty area instead of trying to get one back. I feel sorry for the players, that's how they've been told to play, or they don't get selected. They are having the competitive edge every sportsman must have coached out of them in an attempt to play "pretty".

I just said on twitter I just don’t get the sticking to the game plan for 90 minutes.
If you’re going into the last 10 minutes losing get it up there and try and get something from the game.

At one time today we had the ball on the edge of their penalty area and we short passed it back to the edge of our penalty area.

He has a lot to prove. We have lurched in right direction, but too much to the other extreme. I’m hoping that’s just a transitional issue. Watching us playing the same mechanised passes to Hamer when one down, instead of looking for more positive opens made me grind my teeth if I’m honest. But we’re doing ok, unless this is really all he has, in which case it probably won’t end well.

Accept its transitional and wait and see is my take. I’m not hoping for much in January as there’s no value to be had normally, but after the summer reshape (and pre season) I’m expecting us to move up a significant notch.

I’ll be honest here I’m not unhappy,we can finish mid-table or even slightly in the bottom half but people aren’t living in the real world and after reading our managers comments it seems he’s one of those people too.
