Not sure what “hasn’t done well enough” actually means but aren’t there several others the same especially Piroe?

Just read that..Makes you wonder what is going on. Some things can be hinted at without being so blatant about it. Especially making comments about it happening before but he's a great individual.
We keep reading that the club does due diligence on players, not just as footballers.when scouting.
So many players have been mentioned over time, but interviews always say a great bunch of lads to work with.

Hmmmm ?

It's no different from when he was at Southampton, and the manager Ralph Hasenhuttl said this in November 2020 ...

“The problem with Michael was always he would play one good game and then fall back a little bit and was not professional enough to force or keep his position in the team or in the squad.
“This makes it too easy for others to go above him. I think this is what he must learn.

“Once he is in the squad, don’t give it away so easily and try to be aggressive and dangerous in front of the goal.

“I think this is something he misses, but he’s young, he still has to learn a lot and this is a kind of mentality but is also a kind of quality.”

2 years later, not much has changed!!

Basically if your face doesn't fit with Russell Martin he'll throw you right under the bus. Jay Fulton had the same treatment this time last year.

Ogbeta… face doesn’t fit.

Seems like he has the attributes to be a good player … just can’t get a look in.

Surely Fin Stevens can’t be worse than Lati at wing back either.

Any manager that publically slags one of his players off to the press is not worth his salt. RM does it a lot doesn't he?

Yes. Really not good. Players can be like big kids at time no doubt - but open criticism is just a no no. Get a grip Martin.

Obafemi will be better off somewhere else now, not condoning him, but his ego is bigger than the whole of South Wales, get what we can get in January...

The Martin ego will be a bigger problem to shift though.
Therein lies the real problem...

Not the 1st time Martin has singled out a player to attack.
If it's Obafemi work rate- seems to be pretty good most games, when we pass to him quickly not wait for 4 defenders to mark him- then get rid
If it's a clash of personality then both need dragging in to a meeting and it sorted.
If it's poor management, then we're stuck with it, unless we enter the relegation zone me thinks.
Don't see the Merrycans paying compo, but now they understand a team can get relegated and lose even more money.

Wrong, in so many ways.

Oba's ego and ergo his striking force, is precisely what This part of South Wales needs right now.

And we need a proper man-manager who can get the very best out of our latent gems and egos.

What we don't need is a manager who's puts his ego above all else - above our best players' talents and our Club.

Martin OUT now, before his overinflated ego destroys our very best assets.

But here's the thing, Michael Obafemi clearly doesn't want to be in this part of South Wales anymore, this was evident when that massive cloob Burnley came a calling and the toys went flying.
Get rid, and then let Martin hoist himself by his own petard eventually...

He does want to be here, way down by the sea.... Mumbles Road. Loves it.

And That's the thing. Fact.

We need a proper manager who can get our juiciest juices gushing again.

And 'let Martin hoist himself by his own petard eventually...'....NOW, asap.

Mediocre Mid-table Martin Out - we're at Martin's mediocre median, 15th. Still.
