Many places not going to survive this Dicky, restaurants already feeling the consequences of this new variant.

The reports of people taking it upon themselves to cancel parties etc. may well ease the Welsh gov path to take these measures - "the people have spoken" sort of thing. I think it's likely, sadly for the hospitality sector.

For the closure and restrictions to be brought in would mean WAG would need to compensate these businesses, they would require further funding from Westminster and I doubt this would happen unless it is planned in England too and Wales would then get the appropriate funding.

There's been no mention of further grant payments as far as I am aware and after these last 20 months I sincerely hope there aren't any more!
