I'm finding it hard to take anything that "our new chairman" says seriously after last night's debacle to be honest...

Careful or he may be knocking on the door with all this speculation

He deserves to see out his contract. Lets see which bit of the curate's egg prevails.

Quite why we'd offer a new one at this stage is another matter.

To fend off advances from Premier league clubs obvs

Right well if you've made a decision, stop bring an erratic blabber mouth and offer the contract, formally, behind the scenes.

I've definitely not been a huge advocate of Martin. But being tribal over such issues is completely counter productive.

Our most recent form (over a decent period of time) against some decent sides deserves respect.

And do you trust our owners to appoint someone new (and get rid of RM by pre-season)?

I think this late season run has bought him the right to have a third crack at it next season. But our performances over the last 2 seasons have not shown anything like enough to earn another contract.

Cooper delivered 2 playoff finishes and we binned him off, Martin has finished 15th and 10th and earned a new contract offer? I'll remain sceptical this is true until a new deal is actually signed.

We all know Martin is pushing his side of the story (I see the January transfer window got another mention today in his reasons we didn't finish higher), maybe this is the club putting out their own spin?

A one year extension will be offered, followed by a two week speculative shop around before signing.

How did that “all agreed” go itch?

There’s new people on board and they need to repeat the mistakes of the last 24 months so they can see for themselves. Terrible decision to reverse the decision.

There was never a decision to reverse.
