Worrying.

Worrying - yes

"But the off-the-field impact is far more damaging. Clubs have become increasingly angered (stronger words apply in some cases) when it comes to dealing with the key decision makers at Swansea, and that certainly isn't healthy for long-term relationships and future business."

Worrying.

The most worrying thing for me personally is I’m not surprised and not that bothered.

I'm not surprised, but I am bothered to be honest, I worry where we are heading.

We're heading back to where the sellouts promised that we'd never be again. That's probably been the long term trajectory since 2016. Easily avoided, but so many consecutive bad decisions, and people with egos 10 times bigger than their talent making those decisions throughout the club, mean that the direction of travel is back the way we came.

As Darran said, I feel like a disinterested observer now. The barren transfer window we had would have been ok (We're not going anywhere this year) if it was planned to husband resources for the summer. But it wasn't. God knows what was planned, but it just looks like a cluster fuck of incompetence, stupidity and more incompetence. A transfer umbongo every year would be kinder and less embarrassing for us.

Martin can't stay given his nature can he? A better manager would be able to build a siege mentality and use the resources he has more effectively. He bought Fisher and Darling - get a frigging tune out of them. Use Whittaker. Instead, he will just use it as an excuse. I dread to think what the Brum presser will look like when he's asked about this.

Edit - I don't think it's really as bad as it's being painted in outcome. We have basically what we had, given Martin wouldn't play some anyway, and we don't want to pay for an expensive GK to warm the bench for 4 months. It's just the impact it has in terms of a feeling of despondency that has been generated. That can be quite damaging, but nothing that can't be put right in the summer. Will it be? I wouldn't take the bet.

But the hedge fund haven’t taken a penny out of the club see, lost money in fact see, look at the books! We need to be thankful for thier investment see...

Next level it is see

I'm a massive fan of Russ as you probably know, but I don't disagree with your last paragraph. Not sure if he will be able to build a siege mentality using a few players he has no time for. I'm interested to see if Pato and Whittaker will be in the squad saturday, I do genuinely feel for the latter.

Only club In the league to not make a signing totally unacceptable something needs to change, I cut the Americans some slack but this is shameful, with probably little to no players to generate big fees for in the summer what are they gaining owning us?

Hoping they haven’t spent anything is because they’re actively looking for new buyers for the club.

Not surprised, and maybe not bothered is the right word, but it is just a shrug of the shoulders where in previous years, I would be posting and posting.

We're down on Saturday but it's only our 2nd home game.

I've posted it's the most disconnected I've felt with the club, and it's so easy at the moment not to get worked up about anything.

Cut them some slack, between the owners and the manager you've been their biggest cheerleader on here.

Why though Risc? What has he actually done for you to feel like that?

Young manager, clear idea of how he wants to play, showed he can sign players on the cheap and flip for huge profit which suits our apparent business model in trading players. Doing all of this while significantly trimming the wage bill.

I understand why he's criticised, I also find it a bit unsettling how many players we have who aren't happy here, he needs to learn to be more open minded with certain personalities I'd imagine, but can't think of a single manager within our budget better to take us forward personally.

The most worrying thing about that article is the lack of permanent signings we have been interested in.

I really don't know what Winter and Marsh actually do. I could ring up a load of Premier League clubs and ask them if they have any youngsters looking for a loan which seems to be about the extent of their abilities...

I can’t see it myself though he has flipped one player.

The article on Walesonline seems pretty comprehensive and suggests the journo had a good source or two given the detail he goes into.

What the hell is up with the final paragraph though? It reads as if this information is coming directly from Martin or one of his team with the agreement this bit be included to make him look good:

"Martin has a pretty special bond with the Jack Army, and most would love nothing more than him being the man to guide them back into the Premier League. The very fact the Swansea faithful practically collectively agreed that they would not blame the 37-year-old one bit for taking up a new project if one arose in the near future is telling."
