A good reflex shot stopper until he hurt himself playing for us away at Man City, but had a bigger fear of crosses than Dracula.

Didn’t realise he was 37. Kind of surprised he hasn’t dropped down the leagues a bit for another couple of years, he looks fit enough.

Could have been a very prominent keeper if he stuck with us. Saying that, we wouldn’t have had Fabs.

Secured us our first point of our Premier League years. Yet another who moved on to bigger and better but never really accomplished the better.

Such a waste of the last years of his playing career

No doubt very good for his bank balance though but in years to come I wonder if he will wish he had played more

Nah... wasn’t even good enough to command a transfer fee... :o ;)

Let's be honest, he retired in 2014

:D 13 league appearances in 6 seasons. He was a keeper of 2 halves with us pre- and post-injury, but that has to be a waste of 6 years.

It's always sad when a player has to retire through injury, more so when it's from an avoidable injury, like "Bench backside syndrome".

I think the bank balance is more important to some players.

Yes. He never got back from that injury. Apparently modern keepers don’t need to dominate their area though - they just need to be able to distribute the ball on the floor when under pressure. Put me down as dubious.

Took the wonga over game time, nobody could blame him at 31, he won't be the first and certainly won't be the last.

Anyway.

Fook him 👍

Contrast that with Fabianski though, who at roughly the same age dropped down the league to get game time. I know who I respect more out of the two!
