What was his reaction to their win like at the end?

Respectful to us in fairness. Subdued fist pump and clapped us off the pitch

See , some of the beauts who contribute to this forum will never admit it but Martin did a decent job during his time here, to get the rabble we currently have to play some excellent football was a remarkable achievement, a good manager and a decent bloke but again some will never admit it.

This time last year we hadn't won in 8 games, and would only win 3 of the next 15. Purple patch at the end of the season really saved his reputation, were were awful for the vast majority of his time here.

Exactly. People have very short memories.

They'll never admit it because to admit it is to admit that he was covering over some absolutely gargantuan cracks at the club, which the shambles of this season is quite ruthlessly exposing.

They will continue to obfuscate. They'll have a go at his beard, his gilets, the fist pumps, his occasional tendency to slip into corporate-speak, cite some of the iffy runs, pretend he couldn't man manage, bring up signing Fisher, and so on - because it's easier to do that, than admit that just like with most things in life, it's not black or white, there's a really large area of grey somewhere in between.

Imagine moving heaven and earth and only having Russel Martin to show for it?

The owners are awful and Martin was still a massive fraud, it ain't that difficult see.

With the squad Southampton have I'd probably have a good chance of taking them up.
Martin is a bang average manager imho.

We have bigger fish to fry.
The next level...

They are lost, clueless and living in constant denial.

Today’s “celebration” of him and even his response was sickening to the core with equal levels of embarrassment.

It’s a low point for me; that’s for sure.

You all seem to forget Cooper did this twice to Martin.(4-1 and 5-0) It wont be lost on the owners either, especially as they are dilligaf.

Fck my eyes.
We literally have no hope.
Well done for travelling, but jesus wept.

The only thing more predictable than yesterday’s defeat are the posts on here pining for RM.

Or the posts slating him tbf.
Why people can't just accept that he's no longer our manager & just move on I don't know.
Cooper, Martin, etc - don't care they've gone
