• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

It's alright like, great for Swans news and stuff, people on here pick and choose their moral compass.. Duff is lambasted, Martin had a cult.. Boris ridiculed and mocked, Angela Rayner given a pass.. I know what type of person inhibits this forum, it's two faced, actors masquerading as moral superiors
It's all about opinions mate, i wouldn't get too het up about things.

Except when opinions don't match their world view, Charlie Kirk got assassinated and not one shred of sympathy on this forum was written, but go back to when Jo Cox got killed, and the outpouring of grief, it was a national scandal, Donald Trump has survived two assassination attempts and recently someone hoped he got killed, I know what type is on here.. I'm not het up, I'm not even political, just emphasising my point

Anyway, back to football aye.

This is the first time I've said it on here, it's like reading a book over and over again, and it's getting on my t*ts, it's like a monty python sketch on here on repeat, originality is dead on here and it's like an AA class of agreement.

Dave - I'm Dave, and I'm an alcoholic
AA class - Hi Dave, thanks for sharing
Mick - I'm Mick, and I'm an alcoholic
AA class - Hi Mick, thanks for sharing

It's too agreeable on here
Don't agree with that at all, sorry. First we tore ourselves apart arguing over Cooper, then over Martin. Finally under Sheehan we have a manager most of us feel we can get behind most of the time. I for one am enjoying discussing football rather engaging in endless culture wars. And the Mods are presumably a lot happier about it too (thanks Phil et al for all you do for us!). I have no wish to go back to those dark days. That's not to say the owners deserve a free pass if they fail to provide the support that Sheehan needs in the next window, just because we aren't arguing with each other doesn't mean we have parked our critical faculties.

Personally speaking I defended Duff until he became indefensible. Same with Williams. And my moral compass hasn't changed since it was formed in the late '70s. What you see on the surface is what's underneath.

I'm not knocking what we've done this summer either, the proof will be in the pudding though (said some irritating sage years ago).. we've signed 5 players all over 1 million each, and we haven't put that performance in yet, that we mean business, signs are good, Saturday we'll play someone who on paper are not on our financial output even though we're about the same size club, as in match day fanbase and stadium, signs are positive though, we haven't left it last minute premier league loan bollocks, the key positions have been filled and we've got some depth, Sheehan has all the tools you'd expect, we've got four workhorses in midfield who'd run all day and Stamenic and Fulton if we get bullied a bit.. the only thing we're missing is a No10, if we get to January and we're struggling to break teams down, a creative option and we're good to go

Widell is the 10. We've just got to be brave enough to sacrifice one of the midfield workhorses and play him.

I think he selects the 3 for pressing ability, it's not Vips game to press, so he puts someone just behind to do his running, Cullen isn't good enough, he tries him just behind and he just doesn't do the job that our other midfielders do in terms of press.. Cullen would be better if Idah is upfront, than Vipotnik, Sheehan has tried Vip and Cullen and it's proven it doesn't work.. you've got to give Cullen credit, he gives 100%, scores here and there, but the way Sheehan wants us to play, Idah and Cullen have to be upfront.. Cullen at this level can only play as a second striker, poacher.. because he's not good enough at 10 or up top on his own

Montague to notts county then.... more his level, completely out of his depth here
