• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Seems legit to me...

Man who took uncle to collect his pension 'didn't know he was dead'

I'm going to guess that he's not really "off the gear" like he claims.

Love this part:

“We thought nothing of it because Peadar had had heart attacks and all.” Why would you be concerned if your Uncle suddenly went limp and needed you to carry him, it's probably just another heart attack...

He looks like an upstanding member of the community and his story is very believable.

I think he ought to apply for a job in Boris Johnson's cabinet, he's got all the qualifications.

The Post Office need to stamp out this behaviour....

On a more serious note, this is a big problem in Japan which has many theoretical centurions because relatives don’t report deaths in order to keep the pension giros coming in:

Fcuk me! I thought he'd taken him into the Post Office in a wheelchair or something.
Seems plausible 🥴

My mother in laws pension payments stopped arriving at some stage last year - when she queried why at the time the reply she had was that she had died a few weeks before
