• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

If he realised he'd set the team up wrong then why didn't he change things?

Needs to quickly realise we ain't Notts Co, where they're happy to concede plenty knowing that they'll score more. Early days, but unless thers new blood, he'll be another out of his depth. Is he the one to get us a reset? Not sure.

Just defend first, get your base, close down the space.. forget the attacking part.. when a player knows their role, you can introduce when to go and when not to go, if you instill discipline first, it'll come in time, we won't play Southampton's Leicester's and Bournemouth's all season, so the process will speed up because we'll be playing teams like us.. you don't just jump in to extravagant tiki taka detail football on day one.. we look shapeless, unorganised, and each player doesn't know their roles or their teammates roles.. the press at that level will destroy a 3 at the back without genuine pace in your CBs.. lower down the pyramid it's easier because the press isn't as ferocious and you can get away with it.. you can't leave 3 CBs isolated at that level.. we don't close down space, we're so far apart defensively, we're naive with the pass.. I didn't even watch the game, but I'm pretty confident we got ripped to shreads

He should take full responsibility it’s his own fault. He is the only person that would have picked those players, that shape, and those tactics. Everyone else knew what would happen except him. He needs to shape up, and pronto. If he picks Wood, Fulton and Grimes again on Tuesday, and plays the same way, he’s useless.

Let's not be too quick with the pitchforks, we came up against a decent Premier league side tonight, ok he didn't make things easy on himself by picking the likes of Fisher and Naughton, hopefully he'll have learnt that Wood needs to be taken out of the first team environment and possibly one or two others.
Let's see how the next half dozen Championship games pan out before we cast him aside.

Oh we’ve got him for ages now, there’ll be no casting him anywhere. Just saying if he does the same again, he’s a useless manager, or at best pig stupid. He needs to stick his preconceived way of playing up his arse and use the resources he has properly. He’s got loads of time. As long as wants, unless we really slide. There a lot of teams even worse than ours. He just needs to shape up and really kick some arse.

Can't argue with any of that Mon 💪💥

he needs to show us he isn't just a Russell Martin Number 2 cling-on

so far he's mostly a bit of a cling-on

He’s defo here for the long haul. If things aren’t working out, the club need to get him a mentor, a Wiley old fox who can sit on his shoulder and whisper in his ear. It’s cheaper than sacking him and the entire entourage and Williams just may learn something.

Morecambe came up against a reasonable championship side (on their day) in the last round of the cup, but they didn't capitulate by half time and never went away totally embarrassed, unlike us last night.
