Good to hear he’s not out of favour. My lad has been following his international appearances and is adamant he should be playing. He’s probably got a point. You don’t get up to speed with the Championship without playing in the Championship. Maybe he’s not as good at pointing and being stuck in no man’s land as Cullen though. Feck knows.

Not saying there is an issue and that he is out of favour, but if Walta is actually out of favour, I very much doubt Matos would tell us that he was out of favour.

Very much a stock, generic answer from Matos here that clears nothing up.

Matos pretty much saying what a few on here including myself have been saying for a while. It wasn't the right games to bring him on and it's about him getting up to speed with things. Not everything has to be a conspiracy. 👽👽

Yeah clear as mud 👀👀

"I love Leo," Matos said ahead of his side's trip to Leicester City. "He arrived in a hard moment for him in terms of season because he'd just finished the season in Sweden and was on pre-season.

"So it's not an easy to league to come to in that moment. He played five games in a row. Four coming from the bench, one starting.

"He's still adapting. That's the most important thing.

"The other thing is that there's a lot of things to come. There's a lot of technical ability to come.

"Of course then it's about finding the right time again to expose him. There will be, 100 per cent [an opportunity]."

I heard he'd been playing darts with Elvis and riding shergar on the weekends.

Well we are safe with nothing to play for, begs the question then, what would be the right type of game to play him in?

Walta has been left on the bench against all sorts of teams recently (midtable, relegation threatened, promotion contenders) with us in a variety of positions (losing comfortably, losing but playing well, winning, drawing....).

If Matos is waiting for us be comfortably winning, that's going to be difficult giving our remaining fixtures.

Personally and again what do I or anyone know. It's not as black and white with anything especially football. I think we just have to trust Matos and his staff. And I do.

We can revisit this thread this time next season, just like the Vipotnik one.

Same people, writing off players before they've kicked a ball in anger for us.

Yes we have to, its just a bit strange and I feel we're missing an opportunity.
