• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Heavily rumoured on the Newport forum for a while.

Hope it works out for him if he goes there probably good for our young players with some going there on loan.

Big jump though running a L2 side..

Fergie used to heavily support his former players when they started management careers by loaning out his up and coming youth players. For a while it became one of the reasons to give them their first opportunities in management.

If Joe gets a job like that then League Two would be a decent level to send those who are too good for the u21s to get first team experience under the eyes of someone who knows how we want to play.

Considering that Newport have the lowest playing budget in the EFL I would be very surprised if Jenkins would pay Joey the going rate, especially if he is struggling to pay the wage demands of experienced players to strengthen the playing squad. In recent weeks County were struggling to include in their squad experienced players while the make up of the team are former untried U21 players. Having said that former Swans U21 defender / wing back Joe Thomas has impressed and held down a regular place in the starting line-up.

This doesn't seem realistic to me. He was saying literally days ago that he has not decided what he wants to do next. He's been retired 5 minutes and wants to jump into League 2 management? Can't see it at all. Does he even have coaching badges? (maybe at league 2 level you just need a pulse and playing career to get a job..?)

Why would anybody want to hire Monk?

His record in management isn't great

Didn't see this one coming. If true then why not. Good luck to him. If he succeeds it's good for all involved and Welsh Football. Just let's not talk about Wrexham, that's another conversation 😂😂😂
