Confirmed that he’s leaving Stoke and not signing the new contract on offer there…

… I’m hearing the move here is very much still in the pipeline and he’s willing to wait for it to become possible.

Ideally we need to offload Fulton & Walsh.

Not sure about this one at all. He'll be expensive, his legs aren't what they were, and Grimes, Downes and Fulton are all similar players. I'd much rather keep Downes than fund Joe with him leaving. I've always been a Joe fan, but we're not a retirement home. We clearly should have bought him and Rodgers in 2016 and we'd still be PL.

He’s willing to drop to £12k a week… when Downes didn’t play last season we were a shadow of ourselves.

Fulton is on around the same in wages and Allen would be a massive upgrade.

His performances for Wales have showed he still has the legs.

I cannot believe that people are saying his legs have gone when he's been playing for wales against some of the best teams in europe recently.

Not just playing… dominating

Nor against us at the BET365.

Likely will retire internationally after Qatar-would be the old pro that Ryan Bennett should have been.

How jolly decent of him!

We need to get this over the line. Joe could still play in the Premier League and will be a revelation here. People don’t want to admit how good he is because he has spent so long at Stoke.

If he was that good a Premier League team would've come in for him in the last few years. Stoke fans don't think he's done much for them in the last couple of years.

If we were signing a 33 year old from let's say midtable Stoke, you'd all be calling for Martin's head

We wouldn't if it was Messi.

To be fair he plays well with better players around him. Not sure how a ball player shines in a Stoke side to be honest.

Leon Britton was finished here when he went to Sheff Utd and they thought he was rubbish. Shows fans are in the main a bit thick.
