I feel that he absolutely deserves his own thread after today's game.

Felt like he was everywhere today, was always available for the pass, had plenty of bite in midfield and some of his distribution today felt Bodde-esque. I don't think I could give much greater praise for his passing today than that.

I would love to see what a midfield base of Fulton and Downes could do together. I feel like it would improve our tempo a lot compared to Grimes who I think is too often guilty of turning back to the defence and slowing down our play.

By contrast Fulton's one touch triangle passing was a joy to watch and for me he was the man of the match today despite Piroe's two goals.

Class player, always looks calm, contradiction alert here, the red mist does come down with him on times, I'd rather him play for us that against us though.

He must be the fittest player in the squad.
He's had fuck all game time until now.
Damn fucking right he should be everywhere!!!
He should be like a whippet!

Owes the club big time after reckless red card in play off final

That was probably down to frustration in fairness, after the way Cooper set us up to play.

If you combined Fulton and Downes, you'd have a hell of a player.

Think Fulton's long range passing and positional sense when defending in the box have been a real positive in last couple of games. We've missed that attacking threat in particular. That ball for Obafemi in the first half was lush.

Think he free's up Grimes as well, seen more of Grimes going forward with Fults in team.
There's some so who don't see his value though.

Some people are idiots though ;)

Downes does tend to take the easy option to Grimes too much for my liking. I think Fulton has put paid to the theory that Grimes is the one forcing that. As you say, if you have two midfielders breaking the lines it gives more options.

Not a criticism anyway, I just think Downes has more to learn than those who think he's bound for the PL imminently...

I heard he’d never play for us again.

Who on earth would have said something so ridiculous?

Not sure but I think it was our fault for not understanding what was written. That’s usually how it goes anyway.

Given it's a question with only two possibilities, it does seem very difficult to fail to comprehend it?

You’re underestimating the power of “journalistic” word salad and a profound inability to admit when you’re wrong. Oh, and abject stupidity.

Oh, is this a clickbait thing? Cos I know some people go in for that. You know, blatantly making shit up while pretending they're actually ITK. You'd think that sort of thing went out with dial-up, but well ...
