• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

If you could bring back one (or more) player(s)...

Sadly not. He might not even know a plan B.
He should do what Martin did when faced with the sack. Go off in a sulk and left Allen run the team (IMVHO). They'd actually play football and show what they got, instead of having to try and show what they haven't got.

Hard choice as any of them would make us much better instantly, but probably Ash, Leon and, unlike others, I’d be tempted by Pablo or Routledge as either one could play centrally, wide or up front. Pablo was as talented as anything we’ve seen but did get injured, so maybe Routledge.

Ash
Leon
Wilf version 1

That’s one hell of a spine 👊

I don't think there's any beating those choices. I'd consider Gylfi rather than Bony possibly, but that's the only one that I'd even think twice about.

On the basis this seems to now be 3 players...

I'd go with Bony because he's the best striker we've ever had.

Gylfi because even the best striker the world has ever seen wouldn't get a sniff in this team.

Then Leon to see off Grimes.

We had an amazing time in the Premier. There were some lows, but some highs. I forgot a lot of the talent we had e.g. Llorente, Gylfi, Hernandez...

How about Mel Nurse, someone who would have the team and the fans foremost in his thinking. Not a bad player either. 🦢

Michel Vorm.

I can still remember his penalty save against Wigan in our first PL home game. That’s when I knew we were in the big time.

It's brilliant that Ash and Leon are nailed on with everyone. Leon should have played for England no question, but for me it wasn't like Ash was world class, not even particularly quick, but what a fckn leader of a team he was.
