• We have today (22nd April) confirmed the closure of JackArmy.net on 31st May. Our reasons are varied but after a twenty-five year stint at the heart of the online Swansea City community, the time is right for us to bow out. You can read more at the link below https://jackarmy.net/2026/04/22/jackarmy-net-twenty-five-years-and-out/

If I had more time, Swansea would have stayed in the Premier League

After our goalless draw at Huddersfield, he for some reason reverted to negative tactics. All we needed was one win from our last eight games, but we bottled it against the like of WBA, Stoke, Southampton and Bournemouth. We went down without a whimper which was so frustrating.

Stoke was a joke of a game after Southampton had virtually relegated us.
We had to win 10 - 0 and couldn't even draw.
The same team who a few months early had beaten Liverpool and Arsenal and hammered West Ham :|

Bit of a strange quote from Carvalhal. He knew he had X games to keep us up. Any manager in the world could say 'if I came in earlier I could have done better'.

He/we did bottle it that season. We really should have stayed up on paper, I feel. (Yes football isn't played on paper etc. etc.)
