Can you get the timber out of the concrete base, you could leave that insitu, and knock the new timber posts in,worth a try, specially if the concrete is solid.

Don't waste your money. As good as Rod was, and he's one of the best I've seen in concert, his voice is past it now. Same goes for Elton John, Paul McCartney and Daltrey.

Ah! Fair enough. I've seen it done before,and I was talking to a mate of mine today,and a fencing guy is doing the same, he's pulling out the old fence post and knocking in a new one, saves all the faff of digging out the old concrete founds. Anyway good luck.
