• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

We are still a striker, CM and LB light at the moment

We have a ton of strikers on the books on hefty wages will there be room to add another? can't see it personally, the mistakes of the watson era won't be fixed in a couple of windows sadly.

If we shift Yates on then we would be looking for a replacement?
Until then it's going with what we have striker wise.

Not much the club could really do to vet this in fairness, he got his achilles kicked to bits against Sheffield Wednesday, it was a bit of a freak one. Such a shame for him, on a personal note
The Achilles is like a rope that you cannot destroy by kicking it.
I know from personal experience it is explosive movement that puts excessive strain on the fibres that rupture fully or partially.
My injury ended my premier league dreams cruelly in my early fifties 😬

Indeed explosive movement will be what ruptures an Achilles tendon, but it can certainly be weakened/compromised by repeated abuse in a short period of time and thats what happened to Ginnelly in that Sheff Wed game

Yeah that's how I see it to be honest I can't see where there'd be room to add any others? I'm liking the business we've done this summer and think we'll be looking good, but up front is where we'll probably be lacking. The mess caused by Paul Watson can't be underplayed, has set us back years.

Still very light defensively for myself personally.

I think there does seem to be an active push in getting Yates and Ginnelly out with loans for Lloyd,Wilson and Lissah and then allowing us to push for a striker and loan to bolster LB.
I still believe they want another CM midfielder.

Wouldn't rule out Congreve,Cotterill and a few other younger players going out on loan closer to the window closure.

Some no mark on Twitter claims you've got a bad attitude and that's his name tarnished for whoever reads it and takes it as fact. Players are told to ignore it and do their talking on the pitch, but he hasn't had the chance to. I feel for him, it must be hugely frustrating reading such shit

I’m guessing so. But I’m still being told that all parties are trying to make a deal happen.
Interesting, seems we still have a bit of money to spend then. Struggling to see where he fits though good to have that depth in midfield.
