The first pint I ever had was in my grans in Baglan when I was 14 in the seventies which my uncle gave me.
It was something like Forest Brown Ale and I thought I was going to die.

The Crown, Morriston. Aged 17. Me and a bunch of mates, thought we were right grown up.
Probably Carling Black label.

People genuinely remember their very first pint?

Yes, Woodman blackpill. Watneys 14p.

Maybe it’s a generation thing (I don’t mean that as a pisstake). I can remember my first ‘night out’ but certainly not my very first pint.

Commercial Hotel in Gowerton, Buckley's Smooth of all things and it was £1.39 in 1996, my first legal pint. Still my local today.

Same here. I know I was going into town at perhaps late fifteen or early sixteen but I’d certainly had a pint before that.

First beer I’d have had would have been at home around 79/80s, we would have had a can of beer in our Christmas stocking off Santa along with the obligatory tangerine, a few sweets, peanuts and even a Babycham.

First pint out would probably have been a cider when I was about 15, pretty sure we went out on my cousins future husband’s stag night around Aberavon/ Port Talbot. We hit all the top spots, the Green Meadow, The Craddock, The Burgess, Viv and worked our way down to the beach where we ended up in The Clipper. An interesting night!
