• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Bale playing like he's still playing golf. Keeps giving the ball away. Dunno why I'm posting here though? No else interested or here.

I'm watching in faraway Spain, Bryn. At least until 'Live at the Apollo' starts, anyway....

I hope it has it's necessary quota of unfunny 'right wing' comedians on it!

Moore hell of a good player. Class. Wish he was with us now!

He almost fecked it up too! 😂 Has to be on a plate for him or he’s utterly awful.

Well looks like I forgot there was football tonight

He is excellent at receiving hopeful punts / clearances up field, controlling the ball and either winning a cheap free kick or holding it up long enough to pass it back to an advancing midfielder.

He had two chances to put the ball in the net tonight and he took both of them.

He looks to be an excellent signing for Cardiff and he will offer Wales something they were lacking.

Was never gonna be a classic.

Half the squad not had more than a week in preseason with their clubs, let alone minutes in any friendlies. Bale hasn't been with Madrid since July.

Got the W and that is all that matters.

Onto Sunday.

10 wins out of 20 for Giggs. 18 debutants and plenty of experienced players not playing anymore. Grand job.

He was adjudged to have fouled to get into the position to score the first you mention. I would have called that he made as many fouls than he won last night, coupled with him giving the ball away more than passes he made successfully, if not more.

He should be kept on the bench until we need to resort to those long, hopeful punts and developing a team which has more movement when we have the ball, and more pressure on the opposition when we don't.
