• We have today (22nd April) confirmed the closure of JackArmy.net on 31st May. Our reasons are varied but after a twenty-five year stint at the heart of the online Swansea City community, the time is right for us to bow out. Cheers Darran, some fantastic musicians passing away recently 🙁
I heard last week that one of my favourite bass players died a short while ago, aged 45, sudden illness apparently, Simon Goulding RIP.

Must be the time of year for bassists then because the bass player from the band I was in while I was still in school over 50years ago died last week.

Was your bass player a Swansea lad?

No, we'd moved from Swansea to Llandudno in early '63 when I was 10 because of my Dad's job and I started playing in bands up there when I was 16/17. My brother was/is a drummer and he once said that if we'd stayed in Swansea, one or both of us would probably have ended up in Man 😅😅😎😎

You both could have done a lot worse than end up with Man. 😉
