Earned some credit today.

Very encouraging performance. The defence is markedly improved too. Perhaps he was focusing on this early doors?

He was persisting with his back five until ten days ago.

So you're disagreeing that the defence has significantly improved on last year? That was the case when we we're playing five at back too

Eh?

The defence has been better in the last three games, a marked difference to when we played five / 3 x CB’s.

Much the same could have been said last season. We were better then when we played four, not five.

Formation plays a huge part. Took Cooper and russ ages to ditch the 5. Hopefully duff sticks with it and gets his rewards early doors. We are far better as a 4

Precisely.

Why does it always seem to take him 8 or 10 games to get up to speed? Has happened at his 2 previous clubs. You can't give teams an 8 or 10 game start in any season .

Definitely improved. But....I'm gonna get slated here, into context, shou6have hung on at qpr/beat dogshit last week and Millwall summed up this league...very average at best.
There will be 2 massive tests now next 2 games, and tho I'm chuft to bits with 7 points from 9, I'm gonna reserve bitta judgement till this time next week.

He's had plenty of Pelters lets give some credit for two 3-0 wins.
Win's breed confidence in both players and fans.

Cooper played 4 at the back for most of his first season, he only switched to 5 after the season resumed post lockdown & we had a few injuries

That’s correct. Funny how these things work out, we were better not playing a four under Cooper, yet it’s the reverse under Martin and Duff (caveat: only a sample of three games under Duff).
