Anyone doing a dry January? I am!

Over indulged a bit on the beer, got 4 cans left, and I will not be buying anymore, not even for a last blow out the weekend, before New Year, pretty easy to say, when you feel quite sickly anyway, due to amount drank since Christmas eve.

The Swans will be going for dry January, go the whole month without scoring or winning a game.

Had very little myself, feel better for it though.

I’m not back in work until 6th Jan so some of next week will inevitably be spent in the pub. Plus, some other events scheduled for January will inevitably involve alcohol. That said, it will be everything in moderation. Dry January ish.

A generally dry start to the month will see the occasional damp spell, but overall moisture levels will be well below average. As the month progresses it is expected that moisture levels will increase with the strong risk of monsoon conditions as we near the end of the month.

8-)

Pointless for me, only partake in the odd glass of wine now and again, havent touch a lager in over 30 years.

I love beer, so Dry January can do one.

My wild days are well in the past, mind. The only hangover I had in December was when on an otherwise alcohol-free evening I joined my wife in having a glass of Baileys (or whatever the Lidl knock-off equivalent is called).

Well it doesn’t make you very jovial.

I've hardly drank for about 3 months and I've nothing to be jovial about at the moment either.

Same here re a beer. I will happily forgo wine or spirits for an indefinite period of time, however that post work/Friday afternoon/Saturday tea time beer is extremely pleasureable.
