Wow, brilliant. I would have loved to be there to listen to that Live.

They remain one of the bands I listen to a lot on many car journeys

I’ve seen them 3 times, well when I say 3 times I mean I was there 3 times. At one gig in Shepton Mallet at Christmas 1985 we were so drunk and stoned I can’t remember anything about it,I can’t even remember getting in the venue.
What a time to be alive.

They’re not for me but each to their own.

I’m not a fan either but some of my mates absolutely loved them,f*ck me the amount of times I heard Making Movies back in the day must run into thousands.

I just find them dreadfully boring.

Went to see Mark Knopfler doing a solo tour some years back in the CIA .

He was struggling with a back injury that night unfortunately but what a boring show , came close to leaving early .

Probably went expecting to see a Dire Straits Show , who I thought were great , this gig was a big disappointment .

I don't normally listen to them, but I enjoyed that, thought it was an excellent live performance, over the years I have not seen many that you think WOW, think the last time I was impressed with a live performance was Queen at Wembley Band Aid.

Ha ha it's not just me then, just looked at video again, and first comment by Jason Lieberman,: This has to be one of the greatest live performances of a song ever recorded.:

This song is ok though I think it might be the line “I had the one-arm bandit fever” that does it for me.
