Just had a quick look at the BBC live text for the Man City v West Brom game and somebody sent this in:

"Conor Gallagher is everything to WBA that Chelsea desires of Havertz. High pressing, good passing, shooting accuracy and goals."

Thoughts on that lofty comparison?

I personally couldn't give a f@ck how he does for West Brom. 👍🏼

Agreed, but I was more wondering if anyone else saw enough in his game last season to believe he could be good enough for one of the Big 4/5/6 PL clubs.

Personally I'm more convinced that Guehi will make it at that level than Gallagher.

I'm sure that Guehi will have a great future and I suspect that Gallagher could do. Some of his better work in our team (on the pitch) was the often unnoticed/simple stuff. It's down to his drive now.

For me he has the drive, enthusiasm and energy to have a decent career but not the technical skills necessary for one of the big 6.

Yeah, right OK, but why though?

Thought he was woefully underrated here. Wouldn't surprise me to go on and see him do very well, although top six is a battle for any player.

Not a top 6 player maybe but definitely a Premier league player.
The only thing that was missing from his game with us were goals I thought. He had plenty of chances but couldn't finish. Couldn't fault his work rate.
He's already scored a couple for the Baggies I think. He's young & still learning.
Sounds like he’s going to have a new manager soon.

Because personally I enjoy seeing any player who did well for us go on and have a successful career, except in games against us of course.

If I have to come up with a more practical reason, then the more ex-Swans that go on to have successful careers, the more attractive a club we'll be to other players.

The Sky Sports pundit of last night described him as creating key passes out to his teammate only for them to pass the ball back to Man City. He had a very well rounded performance. Underrated during our time here.

decent player, but no left foot at all. Which often meant promising positions were not exploited.

Criminal in my book that a professional footballer is unable to use both feet to a competent standard.
