Article in the Sun today/yesterday about political correctness in sports broadcasting, found myself agreeing on some of it. However, the writer made this statement.

"It didn’t end there, either, because the item that really took the biscuit was an interview with Russell Martin, the manager of Swansea City, who are the very definition of mid-table mediocrity at the moment and unworthy of any neutral’s time"

Obviously a man with his finger on the football pulse (not!)

Chill out, dudes and dudettes. I doubt if Ally Ross would claim to be a "journalist", has anyone seen his name on any news reports? Instead, he seems to be a "columnist" whose job is to write controversial pieces of opinion that get people talking and coming back to buy the paper, and he certainly succeeded in this case. It's all 'banter' innit. Is he related to Jonathan Ross?
